How Engine Oil Change Works
- 1The mechanic warms the engine briefly so old oil drains fully.
- 2Old oil is drained and the used oil filter is removed.
- 3A new filter is fitted and fresh oil is added to the manufacturer-specified level.
- 4The engine is run briefly to check for leaks around the drain plug and filter.
- 5Final oil level is confirmed before handover.
